2025 Sky Tavern Memberships

Support Members are adults who participate in making Sky Tavern happen but are not instructors. Support Members are parents that want to ski or snowboard. This pass gives you access to the lifts and gives you a chance to keep up with your kids on the slopes. Support members are required to volunteer 2 hours per day, helping in everything from the parking lot to the kitchen. We are all volunteers!

(Ages 6-17)
A Child of a Member MUST have an adult registered with them. Every child receives a 2-hour lesson (9am-11am) by a volunteer instructor. Every child must attend a lesson to have afternoon access to the lift.
AN ADULT MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE CHILD. THERE ARE NO DROP-OFFS. Registration will NOT be approved until an adult is registered

SkyKids (4-5yr Old) must have at least one parent who participates in the program. Parents work one-on-one with another child with the help of Certified Instructors, while their child receives instruction from a different parent. This proven method is very successful at Sky Tavern. Every SkyKid has a SkyKid parent but the SkyKid parent can have more than one SkyKid.

This program is designed for the youngest adventurers (Ages 4-5). By the end of the season, most kids are really skiing/ Snowboarding. Must be 4 by December 31st, 2024. If the child turns 6 before the program starts, they are a Child of Member.
This membership requires at least 1 SkyKid Parent. Memberships will NOT be approved until this is completed.

Gromment (4-7yr Old) must have at least one parent who participates in the program. Parents work one-on-one with another child with the help of Certified Instructors, while their child receives instruction from a different parent. This proven method is very successful at Sky Tavern. Every grommet has a Grommet parent but the parent can have more than one grommet

The adaptive program needs more instructors! The instructor will receive specialized instruction from Certified Adaptive Instructors. This instructor teaches children accommodations (physical or mental disability). This fulfills the 2-hour volunteer requirement.

(Ages 4-17) Sky Tavern provides specialized programming for children who require accommodations (physical or mental disability). Every child receives a 2-hour lesson (starting at 9 am lesson time will be adapted to the needs of the child) with a Specially trained volunteer instructor. Every child must attend a lesson to have afternoon access to the lift.

Adults 18 years of age and older, who wish to ride the bus and VOLUNTEER as adult supervisors. The Bus Supervisor checks kids in, in the morning and then checks the kids out in the afternoon. Sky Tavern must have at least 1 supervisor per school per day.


This pass allows lift access and includes adult lessons and fulfills the 2-hour volunteer requirement.

This membership does not require a registered adult. This membership provides a 2-hour lesson (9am-11am) by a volunteer instructor. The membership price does not include the cost of transportation. “Bus Tickets” are an additional fee, estimated at $18 per day.

We can teach you to teach! Instructors teach kids (6+) for the 2 hr lesson in the morning. Instructors have lessons in the afternoon. In-person operations are provided before the season

To become a Jr. Instructor the child must be approved by the department head. Jr. Instructor shadows an instructor during the 2 hr morning lesson. They are required to attend afternoon training. Must be a level 6 or above.

Certified Instructors really help us run the program. They are those who organize and teach classes in skiing or boarding, what this is all about! This membership gives you access to the lifts.

Age U8-U18 Weekend Development Program
Coach Bender
As a member of the Tahoe League Race Series and USSA Far West, kids learn to carve gates. This membership includes a weekend season pass, a t-shirt, fleece, and a jacket rental. They also cover additional costs like early loads, equipment specifically for the Ski Team, ( if available) etc. To join the team, the child MUST be approved by the coach.
To enter a race, the racer will need to purchase a USSA membership, at usskiandsnowboard.org
There will be additional entry fees for races

Sky Tavern is pleased to introduce our new “Pay My Way” program, an alternative to the traditional volunteer time-based requirement. Pay My Way allows individuals to directly support the organization with a $2,500 contribution while retaining the benefits of on-mountain participation.
