Dear Members,
This was a wild winter with low snow totals, and well, winter never really showed up! Despite the less than average snow and dismal winter conditions, we all pitched in and made it happen with no canceled program days.
Snowmaking was a huge part of this success, pumping nearly 2 million gallons of water to capitalize on the well-timed snowstorms.
Of course, we couldn’t have done it without the support of our members. It is with the support of our members and community that we are able to operate, and this year was no different. I want to thank each of you for your volunteer work and commitment to Sky Tavern!
Update: We are currently re-driving the America Chair Lift, which will provide its components a long-overdue update making maintenance easier, faster, and more predictable. Additionally, we will be able to run the America Chair Lift for downhill traffic, allowing us to offer summer scenic lift rides and better serve our community.
As we prepare for Summer Operations, I want to draw your attention to the new summer memberships and expanded programming for summer here. We aim to expand summer operations programming to match Winter Operations. We’ll kick off summer on May 30th with our 3rd annual MAYDAY Festival.
I am deeply honored to be a part of the Team that makes Sky Tavern such a great place to make lasting memories. It's always so cool to hear how many people learned or experienced outdoor recreation for the first time at Sky Tavern. I’m continuously amazed with how our members show up for each other and create opportunities to experience the great outdoors.
Remember to tell everyone about the magic that is Sky Tavern, and that simply showing up and participating supports a rare community asset we all so deeply love!
