Welcome to The Weekend Update

 

It's Week 7! Welcome back to... spring?! Warm temps have returned, forecasted to reach into the 50s on Saturday! Wear your sunscreen and stay hydrated.

 

We're already down to our last few weeks of winter operations, but we have plenty of events planned, starting with the The Last Ride patrol ceremony on Saturday. Some temporary trail closures may occur Saturday in coordination with the event. A section of the front room in the lodge will also be closed this weekend. Please respect the designated closures.

Franz & Friends. Open ski for ALL members from 2-5pm and meet Olympians! More details coming soon!

 

March 7/8

The final weekend of lessonsWear your favorite costume to ride in and join the parade on Webster at noon!

No blow-ups, tails or capes on the chairlift please.

 

March 14/15

Open skiing and riding. Bring a guest!

  • 12 and under are free!
  • $45 for ages 13 - 17, $75 per adult

 

March 21/22

Open skiing and riding (if conditions permit)

Anti Blackout Passholders

You are welcome to join us for the following midweek operation dates. Sky Tavern members without an Anti Blackout pass can join for $20/day. If you would like to bring a guest, please send us an email with the dates.

 

  • TMCC Wednesdays, 9 AM - 12 PM (March 4, 11, & 18)
  • March 4th, 9 AM-4 PM
  • March 5th, 9 AM - 4 PM
  • March 6th, 9 AM - 5 PM

Freestyle Comp Sunday!

 

Cruise to the terrain park on Sunday morning to catch the Freestyle team's annual competition! Awards will follow on the deck.

 

Terrain Park Safety

 

Speaking of the terrain park, our park features (jumps, rails, and boxes) may have changed since your last visit. ALWAYS perform an inspection lap before hitting features in the park. Check out this video for PARK SMART tips.

 

Event Calendar

 

THE LAST RIDE Patrol Ceremony

Saturday at Noon

The Last Ride, a ceremony celebrating the memory of past volunteer ski patrollers Al Drake, Char McLear, and Gerry Carr, will take place at Noon on

Saturday on the Keston Trail.

 

Ski Patrollers will escort three toboggans from the top of the mountain as meaningful tributes to the longtime volunteer patrollers. The ceremony will host families and friends, accompanied by the sound of bagpipes, for a heartfelt tribute to those who dedicated their service to the mountain community.

 

The “Red Coats”, are the unsung heroes of our mountains. Please join us to honor our past and current patrollers.

Blizzard will be on site with free Demos for anyone interested from 12-3 PM!

Lift Pitch Tahoe is a one-of-a-kind event where adventure meets entrepreneurship. Our mission: bring together startup founders and investors for a day of networking, pitching, and philanthropy—all on the slopes of Sky Tavern.

 

Proceeds from the event benefit the Learn to Ski & Program. Join us for a day of inspiration, connection, and giving back.

Slide, grind, and snack your way into spring at Sky Tavern’s Hot Dogs & Juice Boxes Rail Jam on March 22! Whether you’re a pint-sized grom, a fearless youth, or an all-out adult shredder, this jam is your chance to throw down your steeziest tricks. It’s part contest, part party, and all about good vibes, great friends, and fun.

 

Register by March 6 to be gauranteed a t-shirt!
